List of Mango Focus Groups (Haiti Hope)
Below are the English translations for three focus groups with mango producers. They were conducted in the Spring of 2015 in the following three communes (counties) of Ennery, La Chapelle, and Seau D’Eau. The focus groups were part of a larger Evaluation of the Haiti Hope Mango Project (Haiti) funded by IDB, USAID, Coca Cola, and the Soros Foundation with the implementing partner TechnoServe. In addition to these focus groups, we conducted a 1,215 respondent survey, plus two 100-respondent telephone surveys, and a 100-respondent value chain survey as well as extensive interviews with key informants. The focus groups came after the rest of the study. They were part of the validation of the surveys and key informant interviews. Specifically, after we had completed the study, we prepared a highly graphic Power Point presentation of the results and showed them to groups of producers. The objective was to get feedback on our findings as well as share them with the project participants.
